Nanchang is a humid subtropical monsoon climate with four distinctive seasons. Spring is mainly in April and May with plenty rainfall and less sunlight. Summer starts in June and lasts until October, with the highest temperature to 40 degrees Celsius. Autumn is short and dry and winter lasts from January to March, with very cold and chilly winds and blows.

Generally you will need a light coat and sweater in spring and short –sleeved shirts in summer. In autumn, long-sleeved shirts, sweaters and coats are necessary, while sweaters and overcoats are appropriate in winter.
